Gene Mack Cartoon Collection : cartoons 1927-1950.

This collection contains the drawings of Gene Mack. Mack covered sporting events for the Boston Globe for more than 35 years. This collection of cartoon drawings depict historic plays, a variety of baseball-related news events and ballparks. Drawings include Leo Durocher's one-year suspension, Ruth's home run attempts, Lefty Grove's 1938 season and a few doubleheaders. Drawings of ballparks depict famous events at those parks such as Wrigley Field, Shibe Park, Briggs Stadium, Fenway, Yankee Stadium and League Park.
